Oneplus is all geared up to launch their Oneplus 8T. Oneplus has confirmed that it will be launched on October 14. Various leaks and rumours have taken twitter by storm since the inception of the device. It is also rumoured that there wont be a 8T pro model this time. Hence, its all upon the 8T to beat the competition with its specs and price. The competition is very fierce this time because of the S20 FE released few days ago.
The company has itself confirmed some of the important details of the device. Oneplus 8 had a 1080p 90Hz display while the 8 pro offered a 1440p 120Hz display. Oneplus 8T will be a blend of both i.e. it will be featuring a 1080p 120Hz display. The touch sampling rate is 240Hz as well, so no cost-cutting there. It’s certainly a good news for the Oneplus fans as they can now enjoy the 120Hz smoothness at a lesser price. Looks like Oneplus is leaving no stone unturned to give a tough competition to its competitors. The display is flat, however, which may disappoint some curved display-fanatics!
The next big thing going on at Oneplus is that 65w fast charging. Though its siblings oppo and realme had already moved to 65w charging for their flagship devices a long time ago, Oneplus was stuck at their proprietary warp charge 30T. Oneplus will be vouching for full battery top-up in mere 39 minutes. Similarly, just 15 minutes of charging can give you 58%. Even the battery capacity is upgraded to 4500maH.

Unfortunately, the list of upgrades end here itself. It is very disappointing to see Oneplus not bringing any improvements in the camera front. The camera will be the same 48 MP quad camera array with 16MP ultrawide and a couple of macro and depth sensors. If you were expecting Oneplus to introduce new 64 MP camera, it’s not the case for the time being. Oneplus could have provided a telephoto lens instead of the gimmicky macro lens, but in vain.
On the software front, the phone will be running on Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11. The price of this phone is rumoured to around $750. In India, this phone might cost anywhere under INR 50k. What do you think about the upcoming Oneplus 8T? Don’t forget to write down in the comments below.
