Vivo V series is the most popular line-up from Vivo whose main focus has been the design and camera. With the launch of all-new Vivo V20 in Nepal, has vivo been able to continue the legacy of its previous v-series phone? Let’s talk about Vivo V20 Price in Nepal, it’s specifications and features.
Vivo V20 overview
Vivo is flaunting the selfie camera which brings the eye autofocus feature to the table. This is a very sleek and lightweight phone with a very refreshing design as expected from Vivo. Unlike other OEMs, Vivo hasn’t sacrificed the ergonomics of the phone for a bigger battery.
Design and Display
Design of this phone is very unique in its price range. The glass back rocks a beautiful matte finish. To be honest, this is the best back design in any phone of this price range. It comes in two colours: Sunset Melody and Midnight Jazz. The former one looks more stylish whereas the latter one looks professional. It is very ergonomic and lightweight at 7.4mm thick and 171g heavy.
The display is fairly large 6.44″ 60Hz AMOLED with a waterdrop notch. The company has justified this stating that the tech used on front camera made it difficult to fit in a punch-hole cutout. The refresh rate is 90Hz which is the USP of this device. You will also be losing out on the 90Hz smoothness but looking at what competition offers, the display seems to be a good one.
Vivo has launched this new phone with the most famous mid-range Qualcomm itself, the Snapdragon 720G. This is a remarkable upgrade from V19’s Snapdragon 675. However, considering the price tag, a more powerful chip would be a welcome addition. Having said that, 720G is not at all a bad processor. Vivo is known for well optimizing the chipsets in its previous phones, so there’s not much to complain.
The camera is the main highlighting feature of this device. On the rear, it brings a 64MP camera accompanied by 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth lenses. It brings new features like night filters and dual video recording on the software side. It rocks a 44MP selfie camera which is the highlighting feature of this phone. The high-res sensor is coupled with cool eye-autofocus tech as well.
While making the phone super slim and lightweight, the battery capacity takes a hit. However, it is not to say that the battery capacity is too low, it’s just that it is low compared to 2020 standards. The battery is a sizeable 4000maH cell coupled with the 33-watt fast charging.
The phone runs Android 11 out-of-the-box with FunTouch OS 11 on-top. Hence, this aspect seems excellent for vivo on paper but the FunTouch OS 11 though highly improved, is still somewhat half-baked and seems jittery at times.
Vivo V20 is a pretty decent phone at its price. It offers the best design and ergonomics for its price. It boasts of new camera tech used in the selfie camera. Despite that, the competition like the Samsung A71 offers a modern display, still better cameras and slightly better battery and decent ergonomics. Hence, this phone is made only for those who value the design of the phone above every other feature.
